There are a total of 20 elements on the Vaisala GOES antenna - 4 each of the #2, # 3, and #5 element, and 8 each of the #1 element. The elements are divided into 5 sets with 4 elements in each set . Each element must be in the correct position for proper operation of the antenna. Starting from the cable end the elements are attached to the antenna in the following sequence: 5, 1, 3, 2, 1.
